A new Manager has been appointed within our Glenrothes office.

Michael Stephenson, new manager in our Glenrothes office.

Michael Stephenson (30) joined the firm from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) on Monday 19 June 2017.

Michael qualified as a CA in 2012 and joins us as an Audit Manager having worked with PwC since embarking on his ICAS training in 2009. He was originally based in Aberdeen as a CA trainee, progressing through to Audit Manager and, latterly, working from the firm’s Edinburgh Audit department from 2015.

In joining the Glenrothes team of almost 30 employees, Michael will look after a varied portfolio of clients, including those in the construction, technology, engineering and leisure sectors.

Originally from Huddersfield, and schooled in York, Michael graduated in 2009 from the University of St Andrews and has lived in Scotland with his wife ever since, planning to relocate to Fife in due course.

Michael said: “I am delighted to be joining EQ Accountants. This is an exciting opportunity for me to become part of a growing firm with a strong reputation across the North East and Central Belt. With family and university connections in and around St Andrews, I am looking forward to expanding my network of business contacts in the wider area and working with a fantastic range of clients.”

Welcoming him to the firm, Mark Gibson, Partner in Glenrothes added, “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Michael to the Glenrothes office, and to have attracted him from a ‘big four’ firm is a strong endorsement for EQ and emphasises our focus on providing a quality service to our clients”.
