Recruitment of Business Development Consultant

3rd December 2009

A senior banker, who led a team of ten commercial directors throughout Fife and Central Scotland, has added a new dimension to client services by joining us as our Business Development Consultant.

Stephen Bremner (55) was most recently the Royal Bank of Scotland’s Regional Director of Commercial Banking for Fife and Central Scotland, with responsibility for almost 30 staff and an impressive portfolio of clients with turnovers between £1 and £25 million.

Recently-retired Mr Bremner has lived and worked in Fife for almost 20 years and will use his substantial knowledge of the banking sector, as well as the local business community, to benefit both current and prospective clients.

Welcoming his appointment, Mr Bremner said, “I’m excited to be joining what is clearly a dynamic and forward-thinking company where I envisage a duel role of contributing to its future growth as well as providing another dimension of business assistance to the firm’s clients. I’m confident that I can provide clients with beneficial and detailed knowledge of the banking sector, particularly during the current economic climate.”

David Cameron, Managing Partner said, “It is a real coup to have secured someone who fulfilled such a senior role within banking and we are delighted to welcome him aboard. The appointment, the first of its kind in the company, reflects our desire to provide a full range of expertise for our clients and our ambition to continue to grow our market share throughout Scotland.”

Mr Bremner will predominantly work with our Dundee office but will also assist the Perth and Forfar offices.
