The staff and partners of EQ, Chartered Accountants in Dundee, Forfar and Perth have organised nine days of walking from Glencoe Village to Arbroath starting on 21 August.

Mark Barron, staff member in the Forfar office said, “We thought we would organise an event where the majority of staff could participate, together with family, business colleagues and clients. Each day a group will walk between 14 and 18 miles and then another group of walkers will continue the route the next day. Over the period we will walk approximately 140 miles.”

Sponsorship for the event will be divided between Cancer Research UK and the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Scotland. Most people will have been affected at some time either directly or aware of someone who is experiencing one of these conditions and EQ wish to support these two well known charities.”

EQ have invited other professional people within the area, together with a number of their clients, to join them on any of the legs during the nine day period.

“We did this walk approximately 16 years ago and at that time we were joined by quite a few clients who thoroughly enjoyed their day with us. Some people even got some free advice on the way! We expect to raise a substantial sum of money and no doubt visit a few hostelries en route” said Mark.
