In line with many other progressive professional firms EQ have taken the decision to convert from a traditional Partnership to a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) with effect from 2 April 2011. Although relatively common in legal circles we are one of the first accounting practices in Tayside to make this change. It is a very positive step and provides a number of specific commercial benefits to our business. We believe this creates a more attractive proposition to attract senior appointments to a growing environment, and creates a foundation which will enable the practice to expand an already comprehensive service listing. In addition it provides a trading structure through which our capital needs can be more easily met in the coming years. We have been advising our clients in relation to these benefits for a number of years, and the time is now right for us to take this step.

For our clients, the transition will be seamless, and we remain committed to providing excellent service across all disciplines. Points of contact remain the same, and the business remains under the ownership and control of the same Partners before and after the change.
