Peter Southcott FCA

Peter Southcott.JPGPeter heads up the firm’s Cupar office having joined in 1990. Peter deals with a large portfolio of clients across most sectors and has a particular interest in helping clients with their strategic planning, exit planning and profit improvement. Peter regularly presents at the firm’s Business Builder Forum, which is attended by around 35 business owners on a monthly basis. In addition to this he is Vice President of Fife Chamber of Commerce.

Steven Todd CA

Steven Todd.JPGSteven is a general practitioner with a wide variety of experience of owner-managed businesses, providing accountancy, business advisory and taxation advice. He advises clients on business growth, profit improvement and tax planning. Outwith the office, Steven is the Finance Convener of Ladybank Golf Club and member of Cupar Round Table.

Mark Wilken CA

Mark worked for 10 years as an agricultural consultant with a national firm of advisers before embarking on a career in accountancy in 1998. As a consequence, he is involved in providing accountancy and taxation advice to a portfolio of predominantly farming clients. He is also accredited to provide farm business advice under the Farm Business Adviser Accreditation Scheme for Scotland (FBAASS) and takes a lead in delivering our consultancy services to the agricultural sector.

David Cameron CA

David CameronDavid is the Managing Partner at EQ. His role encompasses a wide variety of responsibilities, both internally for EQ and externally working with clients. He works with a number of our larger corporate clients, managing audit and corporate finance assignments, and in addition he has a particular interest in supporting professional firms in relation to Practice Management and Strategic Development. He was previously a Board member of Dundee Repertory Theatre and is currently on the Board of Dovetail Enterprises - two locally based Charitable organisations.

Mark Gallacher CA

mark-gallacher.jpgAs one of our audit partners, Mark's portfolio is a mixed bag. He acts for a number of SME businesses in a variety of different sectors as well as acting on behalf of numerous 'not for profit' organisations.

Mark is currently a member of the Board of Directors of The Unicorn Preservation Society and is a Council member of the Rotary Club of Dundee.   For many years he served as a member of the board of Servite Housing Association and was also Financial Director of Dundee FC following administration.

John Langlands FCCA

John Langlands.JPGJohn epitomises EQ, where clients' needs are his priority. The son of a medical GP, his 'bedside manner' puts clients at ease as he leads them through the complexities of accounting and tax legislation. A member of our tax team, John's client portfolio is wide ranging from construction and property to food and forestry, as well as a significant number of clients involved in healthcare and the professions. John has responsibility for Amber Accounting Services which provides outsourcing solutions for businesses, and he deals with VAT compliance and regularly advises on international issues.

David Morrison CA CTA

David Morrison.JPGDavid heads up EQ Taxation from our Dundee office, utilising his skills as a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) to develop a high quality business and personal tax team, second to none in the East of Scotland.  A qualified CA, David also controls a large client portfolio with particular emphasis on the healthcare sector (which he also heads up for EQ), professional practices, leisure and service related businesses.   David operates as a trusted business adviser to many family businesses and does so with a mixture of hard work and forward thinking. David is a regular speaker at tax and healthcare events and often writes for business publications.

Dougie Rae CA

Dougie joined the firm as a qualified CA in 1998, having trained with a large international practice. He plays a significant role in developing and maintaining the firm's audit and assurance services, and has a predominantly corporate client portfolio including many larger corporate clients. He also heads up EQ Technology, working with a wide range of businesses in the gaming, biotechnology, energy and other related sectors.

Graeme Davidson CA

Graeme Davidson.JPGA qualified CA, Graeme joined the firm in 1997, and became a Partner in 2006. He advises clients in many sectors, including retail and agriculture, and his portfolio includes many of the landed estates for whom EQ act. His clients benefit from his specialist taxation advice, however his experience also extends to audit, heading up several such assignments. Graeme has responsibility for staff matters at EQ, and edits our EQ Agriculture Bulletin.

Iain Gordon CA

Iain Gordon.JPGIain is a true "home grown" product of EQ, joining the firm from University. During that time he has developed a reputation for providing imaginative tax solutions for various different business sectors, with a particular emphasis on the rural economy. Iain has been a key driver behind EQ's innovative approach to Self Invested Personal Pension (SIPP) planning and he is also recognised as an authority on Stamp Taxes, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax. He is at the forefront of EQ's renewables team, advising on numerous projects for both landowners and developers alike.

Mark has a number of large corporate clients covering sectors including construction, manufacturing and professional practices and has built up extensive experience advising clients on specialist areas involving VAT and other taxes. His audit background also comes to the fore when assisting clients with business acquisitions and in particular due diligence work.

Stephen Taylor CA

From an initial involvement with Corporate Tax planning he has extended his expertise to planning for higher net worth individuals including estate planning and strategic tax planning for new businesses all the way through to exit planning. A member of the main Tax Committee of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland as well as being the convenor for the Small Business Tax sub-committee and a member of the Scotland Taxes sub-committee.
