This can be a frustration for the customer and potentially lead to lost custom. To combat this, Worldpay have release an app, My Business Mobile, on a pilot scheme. Users just need to download the app and it can accept payments from contactless cards up to £30 (the maximum for contactless payments) without the need to buy and install any hardware. This system could be the sign of things to come, with other providers likely to follow suit. This comes as a welcomed technology enhancement, coming a week after it was announced that card payments now account for over half of all customer transactions in the UK. This opens up the doors to those smaller retailers who have avoided the significant costs that are associated with the payment method. All News View the latest news stories from all of our sectors.
