The Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers (ASSC), of which EQ are delighted to be Trade Supplier members, have published a major study which demonstrates the value of the self-catering sector to the Scottish economy.

The study’s key findings include that there are approximately 17,000 self-catering let properties in Scotland which cater for 3.4 million visitor nights per year, representing an annual spend by visitors of £723 million. The sector also supports more than 15,000 full time equivalent jobs in Scotland.

Graeme Davidson, Partner with EQ and a member of their specialist Leisure team which acts for many self-catering businesses said “these figures are not surprising, but it’s very useful to see a study like this confirm that the sector is a very significant and growing part of Scotland’s tourism mix.”
