As the end of our year of fundraising draws near, we reflect back on our continued fundraising efforts for our charity of the year – Maggie’s Centres – and want to take this opportunity to say thank you for the continued support, especially after the success of our recent EQ Charity Ball!

We were overwhelmed by generosity of our clients, local businesses and Maggie’s Penguin Parade artists who supported our fundraising efforts and we would like to give special thanks to the Apex City Quay Hotel & Spa, Dundee, and all their staff for providing an amazing setting for our Charity Ball, Walker the Jeweller for not only attending on the night but for providing two amazing auction prizes, Andi Lothian, who generously loaned us two of his Maggie’s Penguins and donated a prize and our creative sponsors Avian for all their help in branding our EQ Charity Ball and attending on the evening.

Not to mention our lovely MC, Lynne Duffus and our entertainment, Celtic Rouge for getting everyone up dancing!

The auction and raffle on the night were a massive success, and that is in large part due to the donations from both local businesses and individuals so we would like to say thank you to Wood Leisure, Jim Patrick, Dundedin Advisory Limited, The Armstrong Bar & Restaurant, Ardmel Automation, PD Cars Carnoustie, Clayton Caravan Park, Lyreco, Rotary Club of Claverhouse, Yorkes of Dundee, Ryze Dundee, Hayley Scanlon, Fairmont St Andrews, Dundee Repertory Theatre, Iain Burnett Highland Chocolatier, Rose Murray Brown, Blairegowrie Golf Club, Ladybank Golf Club, Rufflets, St. Andrews Links, The Drovers Restaurant, Crail Golfing Society, Mackays, House of Liberty, Gin Bothy, Isle of Harris Gin, Thornton Investments, Redcastle, James Murray, Simple Fiance, MacRoberts, One Office, Allan and Kathleen Keir and Ogilvy Vodka.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to the community of local artists who supported us, including, Suzanne Scott, Joanne MacFadyen, Freya Cumming, Rikki O’Neill, Lena Kibbler, Rachel Kibbler, Scarlett Erskine, Gail Stirling, Yvonne Stewart, Lynne Maclachlan, Chris McKay, Pauline Lavery and Calene Scott-White, all of whom kindly donated their beautiful artwork and creations.

Finally, a massive thank you to everyone that attended and donated on the night – we could not have done it without you!

All of the contributions and donations from the ball have helped us raise an amazing £16,000, making our overall fundraising total £29,000 to date – we cannot thank everyone enough for their generosity.
