Our ten new trainees recently gathered at our Dundee office for training and will be based across all our offices; two trainees based in Dundee and Glenrothes, five in Forfar and one in Cupar.

While providing opportunities in the local area, the investment in trainees will also help support the future growth of the Firm, which has 15 Partners and employs over 100 staff.

The new trainees include four Accountancy graduates from the University of Dundee, Lia Hay (21), Melanie Martin (22), Samantha Turkington (22) and Caitlin Treschman (21), alongside Aiden McIntyre (24), an Aeronautical Engineering graduate from the University of Glasgow and Isla Millar (22) and Mark Moseley (22), both Accountancy and Finance graduates from Heriot-Watt University.

Meanwhile, an additional trio of trainees have also joined our Forfar office. Nafeesa Amjad (17) from Forfar Academy and Gareth Lamb (27), a HND Accountancy graduate from Dundee and Angus College, have both been appointed Trainee Accounts Assistants and Ben Mitchell (19), a third year Accountancy student at Robert Gordon University, is also completing his 48 week university placement.

With our graduate recruitment drive about to begin for 2019, we offer an intensive, three-year training programme which is unrivalled locally when it comes to the experience, training and funding. As well as being exposed to a broad range of assignments, with client responsibility from early on, graduates receive a diverse training experience, developing skills in accountancy, taxation and audit. The programme also offers the opportunity to enhance personal skills and gain valuable insight into business advisory services.

David Cameron, Managing Partner commented, “We are proud to be welcoming this group of talented young people to our growing workforce.

For us, it’s all about attracting the right calibre of graduate, regardless of their background or discipline, and investing in their training and development. Our training programme is unique locally, with our graduates enjoying a truly rounded experience with EQ, rather than being pigeon-holed too early.

It’s our aim to train and develop each and every one of our graduates to become professional Chartered Accountants who we are proud of, and who can complement the service we provide to our clients. We look forward to working with our new colleagues, building their personal and business advisory skills, and helping them achieve, and indeed exceed, their personal career goals.”
