Business Ventilation Fund Category: COVID-19Leisure - Posted On: Oct 1 2021 Update: Applications will open the week beginning 22 November 2021. Eligible businesses will be able to claim back costs to improve ventilation of up to £2,500. The Scottish Government has announced a new £25 million Business Ventilation Fund that will help businesses improve ventilation and air quality on their premises where people come into close proximity, such as in the hospitality and leisure sectors, to help reduce the risk of coronavirus transmission. The fund will provide both grants and advice to help companies undertake work to improve ventilation. This includes: small to medium-scale improvement work including reopening of windows and vents, airbricks, air cleaners support for installation of environmental/CO2 monitoring to assess general ventilation and identify and focus on areas of poor ventilation First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, commented, “Many of the businesses we are targeting have been closed for long periods and it is right that they are helped to undertake this work. We are allocating up to £25 million to assist small and medium-sized enterprises and expect to begin making payments in November.” Full details on the eligibility criteria and application process will be published on the Find Business Support website.
