Role overview

This is a varied and busy role where you’ll look after a portfolio of clients. This is the perfect role for someone who thrives off a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Performing bank reconciliations
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Preparing management accounts
  • Preparing cashflows
  • Undertaking clients software set-ups for clients wishing to undertake their own bookkeeping on Xero
  • Training clients on Xero

Our ideal candidate will be

Experienced: Ideally, you’ll have a bookkeeping qualification or training or have had experience in a similar role. A strong knowledge of Xero and Sage is essential. Knowledge of Quickbooks and Dext would also be helpful.

Skilled in numeracy and communication: You’ll have good numerical skills and excellent communication skills. You’ll find it natural to talk to clients over the phone and over email or Microsoft Teams.

Collaborative: You’ll be a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is willing to share knowledge, support colleagues and be happy to work as part of a team to tight deadlines.

Adaptable: You’ll be comfortable with change and excited by the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You are open to new ideas and continuously seek ways to improve.
