EQ at home – Roshannah Cox

At EQ, our people are at the heart of what we do.

Although working from home means we are physically spread across our regions, our team are working hard to maintain regular communication with their clients whilst continuing to support colleagues by connecting with them daily.

We caught up with Roshannah Cox, Supervisor in our Glenrothes office, to find out more about her experience working from home.

How are you finding working remotely?

It can be challenging at times when my dog is squeaking her toy in the background or barking, but I’m used to the routine now and I make sure I stay in touch with my colleagues every day.

What are you doing to keep in touch with the rest of the EQ team?

We communicate on a regular basis via telephone, Microsoft teams and email. We have a weekly informal group catch up on Friday and the group varies from week to week. Its nice to see how everyone is getting on.

How are you looking after your emotional well being?

I go for a walk with my dog every evening and try to do a different form of exercise each night. I’m keeping in touch with my family and friends as much as possible which has helped.

What advice would you give to others working from home?

Get a routine that suits you and plan an activity you enjoy most evenings such as a cooking, baking or going for a walk and enjoying the rare sunshine!

Tell us, what are your new co-workers like?

I have a dog called Maya, she can be loud at times and doesn’t understand that I don’t share food. She definitely puts a smile on my face every day.

Our doors may be temporarily closed, but EQ are still here to support you. You can contact us on any of our usual telephone numbers and email addresses, which you can find on the Our People page on this website.
