Further funding for hospitality and leisure businesses Category: COVID-19Leisure - Posted On: Dec 17 2021 Following the latest Public Health Scotland (PHS) advice to postpone work Christmas parties and limit the amount of social contact with other households, many hospitality businesses have seen countless numbers of cancellations at one of their busiest times of the year. To offer financial support to those affected, the Scottish Government has announced an update on the support packages available, as well as a new funding package – the December and January Top Up. Eligible Scottish hospitality businesses that previously received support through the Strategic Framework Business Fund (SFBF) will be contacted directly by their local authority to receive their top up payment. For hospitality businesses that have not previously received funding through SFBF, there will be further guidance published week beginning Monday 20 December. It was also announced that there will be a further round of the Scottish Wholesale Food and Drink Resilience Fund in January 2022. There is expected to be further details of funding for the tourism sector available from enterprise agencies and VisitScotland week beginning Monday 20 December.
