Two local groups are delighted to be sharing in the £99million fund provided by Creative Scotland.

Organisers of the NEoN festival and Creative Dundee have both been added to Creative Scotland’s list of organisations that guarantees them funding for the next three years.

Gillian Easson, co-founding director of Creative Dundee said “We are really thrilled that Creative Dundee has evolved from its humble beginnings 10 years ago in 2008 as a blog raising awareness of the creative scene, to now joining Creative Scotland’s Regularly Funded Organisations network in 2018. It’s fantastic to have the ability to plan longer term and most crucially put these plans into action. We look forward to working with Creative Scotland and all international, national and local partners including Dundee City Council to make sure Dundee is a thriving city full of creative opportunities.”

The curator of NEoN, Sarah Cook, said “I am thrilled that NEoN has been recognised by Creative Scotland with this support. It affirms the importance of the festival and the pop-up programme as a platform for experiencing new art and new ideas in the field of digital creativity.”
