How we’ve been supporting our clients, The Green Park Hotel

The leisure industry has been one of the hardest hit sectors during these unprecedented times. At EQ, we have been working hard to ensure we provide relevant support and advice to ensure our clients weather the storm and are able to welcome back their own customers in due course.

One of those clients is The Green Park Hotel, situated in Pitlochry with stunning views over the banks of the Loch Faskally. The hotel has been run by the Mcmenemie family for over 20 years and they have worked hard to make it one of the most popular hotels in the area. Offering an exceptional customer experience and fantastic food, many of their customers return year after year.

Naturally the enforced temporary closure of the hotel is a not only a huge disappointment to the family and its staff members but to all their customers. It was important for the family to navigate through this difficult time, ensuring they were in a secure position to allow them to reopen their doors when the time comes. Having been a long-standing EQ client, Director, Alistair Mcmenemie quickly sought the advice and support of his EQ team, David Morrison and Susan Beattie.

The EQ team were able to offer guidance on the challenging and ever changing coronavirus loan and grant support available to the tourism and hospitality sector. We were able to quickly prepare the necessary financial documents and supporting forecasts to allow applications to be submitted. To the delight and relief of the family the applications were successful, and this assisted with the immediate pressure caused by all sales ceasing overnight.
