Land register applications new digital submission service

Category: Professions - Posted On: Apr 24 2020

As discussed in our previous article, Registers of Scotland (RoS) have been working on a new framework for the short-term house sales that were due to be concluded.

From Monday 27 April, legal professionals can now upload land register applications via the RoS new digital submission service.

The digital submission service deliberately mirrors existing paper submission processes, equivalent of what you would have previously posted to RoS in an envelope.

To use this service you’ll need:

  • an online services account
  • an active direct debit

RoS are advising that residential property transactions should, where possible, be postponed and rescheduled in line with the Scottish Government’s latest advice. You can read the full details on the new digital submission service here.
