National Minimum Wage Rates from 1 October 2016 Category: EQ AccountingPayrollTechnology - Posted On: Sep 13 2016 In October 2016 the new rates will be:- 21-24 year olds will be £6.95 per hour 18-20 year olds will be £5.55 per hour 16-17 year olds will be £4.00 per hour Apprentices under 19 or 19 or over who are in the first year of apprenticeships will increase by 10p to £3.40 an hour For 25 and overs the new National Living Wage was introduced in April 2016 at £7.20 per hour Please note rates will change every April starting April 2017.
