Throughout lockdown, the Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers (ASSC) has been engaged in various discussions with the Scottish Government to provide ongoing financial support for self-catering businesses in Scotland.

ASSC, in partnership with VisitScotland, has today announced a new £1 million grant for self-catering businesses who have not received any other Scottish Government COVID-19 support.

Businesses that apply and meet the criteria will be eligible for a one-off £10,000 grant to support them through the winter season.

ASSC Chief Executive, Fiona Campbell, commented:

“The ASSC has doggedly and persistently fought the corner of our members on business support grants. We are therefore delighted to see this fund being launched and welcome everything that it will do to help Scotland’s £723m self-catering sector.”

Applications for the self-catering support scheme will open on Monday 3 August at 9am. You can read more about the grant, including the eligibility criteria, here.
