Scott Greig, newly appointed Partner in our Cupar office

We are excited that our three new Partners will take up their roles from 1 April, bringing the total number of Partners to 17.

All three undertook their training within the Firm including Scott Greig, who will add his agricultural expertise and extensive commercial knowledge to our growing Cupar office.

Scott joined EQ in 2009 as a trainee, qualifying with ICAS in 2012. Originally based in our Forfar office, where he developed his agricultural knowledge, he moved to our Cupar office almost five years ago to help build relationships with both intermediaries and clients. Since his move to Cupar, the office has gone from strength to strength and Scott has been instrumental in this success over the years, both in terms of his commercial and agricultural sector knowledge.

Scott comments,

“I am thrilled to be promoted to Partner and would like to thank everyone at EQ for their continued support and the opportunities they have provided since I started with the firm as a trainee. I enjoy coming to work every day and advising my clients to help grow their businesses and I am looking forward to helping my fellow Partners ensure the continued growth and success of EQ.”

Last year, Scott was named in the ICAS Top 100 One Young CAs list, a prestigious list of rising stars and ones to watch in the future of the profession. He was recognised for his relationships with his clients, having dedicated much of his time and effort to learn about his new portfolio of clients and local business community after moving to the Cupar office.

Scott has developed these strong relationships with his clients over the last five years by advising on a variety of complex matters and identifying opportunities for growth whilst developing his network of like minded intermediaries in the local area.

Mark Wilken, Partner commented,

“Scott has been key to the continued development of the Cupar office, his commitment and dedication towards the firm and his clients has been crucial to the success of the office, and EQ. He has developed a strong network of professional contacts, and close relationships with his clients, all of whom highly respect him. I am delighted to see him promoted to Partner and look forward to continuing to grow the Cupar office and the firm alongside him.”

We have offices in Forfar, Dundee, Cupar and Glenrothes and through the hard work and dedication of our team, we have achieved strong levels of growth in the last 5 years, increasing turnover to £8m in 2020. We look forward to strengthening our position with Scott and our other new Partners in the year ahead.

Congratulations Scott, from all of us at EQ!
