Single Application Form appeal

Category: Agriculture - Posted On: Oct 19 2021

The Scottish Government is now in the process of writing to farmers and crofters who experienced reductions and/or penalties to their Pillar 1 payments in 2015.

The letter or email will explain why reductions or exclusions were made to their claims for the Basic Payment Scheme, Greening, Young Farmers or Less Favoured Area Support Scheme in 2015 and will give them the chance to appeal if they think their payments were incorrect.

If you have not received a letter by the end of the year, then it is likely there was no scheme penalty applied and the monetary amount of any scheme reduction is less than £100.

Farmers and crofters have 60 days from the date of the letter to submit an appeal request to the rural payments department. You can read more about the reductions and exclusions 2015 letters here.
