Supporting our charity of the year, SAMH, with our #TwoPointSixChallenge Category: CharitiesPeople - Posted On: Apr 27 2020 The cancellation of thousands of fundraising events up and down the country due to the ongoing pandemic has resulted in the loss of billions of income through fundraising events meaning many charities are facing unprecedented challenges. Some of the UK’s leading charity event organisers worked together to create the 2.6 Challenge to raise funds for the UK’s charities in accordance with Government guidelines. On Sunday 26 April, the day the 40th London Marathon would have taken place, members of our fabulous EQ team took part in the 2.6 Challenge on behalf of our charity of the year, SAMH, making sure they could continue to be there for Scotland’s mental health. Colleagues from across our offices completed various challenges including walking 26,000 steps, running or cycling 2.6 miles, powerhooping for 26 minutes, making 26 pancakes, wearing 26 hats whilst walking their dog and climbing the 26th highest munro…on their stairs. So far we’ve raised over £1000 which is an amazing amount under the circumstances so well done to everyone involved! If you haven’t donated but would like to, you can visit our page and add to our total here. We would like to thank those who have donated and our fantastic participants for supporting our #TwoPointSixChallenge. As these difficult times continue, it’s important to look after your mental health. If you would like more information or guidance, visit the SAMH website.
