The Childcare Sector Omicron Impacts Fund is open for applications Category: COVID-19Healthcare - Posted On: Mar 9 2022 The Scottish Government’s Childcare Sector Omicron Impacts Fund is now open for applications. The £9.8 million fund will offer one-off grants to childcare sector providers in Scotland who were operating during the Omicron wave. Eligible childcare services will receive a one-off payment of £950 to £4,500, depending on the registered size of each service, with providers with multiple services able to claim a grant for each of their eligible registered services. In order to apply for the fund, childcare services must have registered with the Care Inspectorate on 31 December 2021 as being either: a ‘day care of children’ and a ‘private’ or ‘voluntary or not for profit’ service a ‘childminding service’ There are two separate application routes depending on the nature of services in the sector, and the deadline for both is 11:59pm on 17 March 2022.
