The Pivotal Event Businesses Fund Category: COVID-19 - Posted On: Dec 16 2020 Update: The Pivotal Event Businesses Fund has been reopened temporarily for Expressions of Interest from Wednesday 13 January until Monday 18 January 2021 at 5pm. The events sector has faced severe challenges throughout 2020, with many businesses unable to operate. To further support the industry, the Scottish Government has announced an additional £13 million of funding. The finance package includes a £6 million Pivotal Event Businesses Fund which is being delivered by VisitScotland on behalf of the Scottish Government and has been developed in consultation with the Event Industry Advisory Group (EIAG). The Pivotal Event Businesses Fund provides grants from £25,000, up to a maximum of £150,000, to support event businesses whose primary role is critical to the survival of the events sector in Scotland. The application process for this fund is in three parts: Expressions of Interest Application stage Panel decision Eligible businesses can start the application process by submitting an Expression of Interest from midday on Wednesday 13 January until Monday 18 January 2021 at 5pm. The details of the remaining £7 million will be announced early in the new year and will be aimed at providing broader support to businesses across the full range of the events sector, including the supply chain.
