The Tourism Leadership & Recovery Fund

Earlier this year, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced a new £25 million tourism recovery programme to support the sector’s recovery from the pandemic. Developed by the Scottish Tourism Emergency Response Group (STERG), in collaboration with members of the Tourism Task Force, the first fund to be launched is the Tourism Leadership & Recovery Fund.

The Tourism Leadership & Recovery Fund is available to individuals, from businesses/organisations, who have participated in Scotland’s flagship leadership programmes – Destination Leaders Programme (DLP), Communities Leading in Tourism (CLT) and Rural Leadership Programme (RLP).

The fund aims to support the recovery of tourism and hospitality in Scotland by driving forward innovation in the tourism sector through collaborative projects.

Eligible applicants will receive up to 100% funding, between £10,000 to £100,000, for a collaborative project between three or more entities that leads to the development and delivery of a new or improved product, service, or experience.

The deadline for applying is noon on Friday 30 July 2021, with projects being delivered between October 2021 and March 2022. You can read more on the eligibility criteria and details on how to apply here.
