The tremendous efforts of our Payroll team

We want to take the time to publicly applaud the enormous efforts applied by our dedicated payroll department as they support our clients through the ever-changing landscape of the ongoing pandemic. Along with the usual payroll calculations and processing, done remotely in April while the whole team works from home, our colleagues have worked hard to ensure they fully understand the intricate details of the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS).

They have:

  • Undertaken “normal” payroll calculations and processing
  • Advised and supported clients computing CJRS payroll adjustments
  • Completed over 300 payrolls
  • Made sure over 3,000 client staff have been paid
  • Submitted around 94 claims through the CJRS portal for clients needing that support, since it went live on 20 April
  • Generated more than £1.2 million of grants for those clients, enabling businesses to survive

David Cameron, Managing Partner, comments, “The team always deliver a fantastic service for clients, but they have done an amazing job over the past month, and their commitment to their clients is second to none. Due to the complexities of what is involved, our team have been working harder than ever with significant extra hours put in to ensure clients have access to the support they require. I’d like to thank each of them for all their hard work and dedication throughout these challenging times – what they’ve achieved in such a short time is incredible.”

“It has also been great to be able to supplement our core payroll team with a few colleagues from the Accounting team. They have stepped in to assist with calculating and submitting the claims, which has been a great help for the payroll department. Our teamwork, as always, has been excellent as we collectively work to ensure clients receive the best service at all times, and can support their staff through these very challenging circumstances.”

Our whole team continue to support our clients with their claims for various financial support measures announced by the Government, and will provide advice as soon as new developments are announced.
