We are renowned for our professionalism and providing clients with a high-quality service and are looking to strengthen our IT team by recruiting an IT Infrastructure Technician. Reporting to the IT Manager, you will join our busy team providing support across the Firm.

The Role

This is a varied role which will involve you working collaboratively with the IT Manager and other members of the IT team to maintain the IT Service Desk and resolve tickets for colleagues.  You’ll have the responsibility of ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the IT Infrastructure Systems of the firm.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Running, maintaining and upgrading the IT Infrastructure Systems
• Server management
• Backup management
• Upkeep of all technical documentation for all systems
• Maintenance of Citrix VDI infrastructure
• Maintenance of Azure Disaster Recovery Environment
• Maintenance of network infrastructure (LAN and WAN)
• Maintaining our IP phone system
• Maintaining endpoint devices (laptops/mobile phones)
• Planning and implementing future infrastructure upgrades

The Candidate

Essential:

• A recognised IT/Computing qualification or experience within a similar role
• Experience of networking fundamentals in WAN/LAN
• Proactive attitude with a creative approach to problem solving
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent client service skills
• Excellent organisational skills
• Willingness to learn and develop
• Full driving licence

Desirable:

• Experience of working with virtualised server infrastructure (VMware)
• Backup and recovery experience (Veeam)
• Experience with VDI (Citrix)
• Experience with Router/Firewalls (Sophos)
• Office 365 Experience including Exchange Online
• Experience of working with Azure cloud infrastructure
