A large scale review recently carried out at the request of the UK Government has recommended that almost £24 million of new funding should be provided to extend the work of the UK Games Fund based in Dundee.

The review found that 300,000 jobs had been generated in the five years between 2011 and 2015 and the report suggests there might be the potential for a further 1 million by 2030 in the correct environment.

The report prepared by Sir Peter Bazalgette, chairman of ITV, contains the key recommendation that support for the creative industries as a whole should be provided by following the City Deal model with a £500 million Creative Clusters Fund being created.
