Changes to requirement to register Persons of Significant Control (PSC)

Category: Professions - Posted On: Jul 28 2017

To comply with new anti-money laundering regulations there have been changes to the requirement to notify Companies House of the people with significant control of an organisation. Previously only companies and LLP’s were required to notify and this was done annually on the Confirmation Statement (which replaced the Annual Return). The change now means Scottish Limited Partnerships, and general partnerships where the partners are all limited companies, will have to identify persons with significant control and notify Companies House by 14 August 2017.

Confirmation statements and people with significant control are now independent forms which are required to be completed and updated with Companies House and limited companies must now notify any changes to the PSC register within 14 days of the change.

There are various forms which can be found at the link below which should be used to inform Companies House of the PSC information or please contact us for further information and assistance.
