Ambitious attitude in life science sector

Achieving scale and being ambitious are the main priorities for organisations operating within the Life Science sector according to a recent survey carried out by Life Sciences Scotland.

Nearly a quarter of the businesses taking part said that increasing turnover was their main focus.

Collaboration to take plans to the next level and turning intellectual property into a sustainable business is also high on companies’ agenda.

Retaining a skilled workforce is vital to the success of these businesses and there will be a need for additional staff if companies are to achieve their ambitions.

Concerns for the industry include securing funding & investment, attracting the right staff and the effects of Brexit.
