Recent times have shown us just how important technology is when it comes to keeping your business going while working from home.

As part of our ongoing effort to improve our remote working processes, we are excited to announce that our EQ Accounting team have recently achieved Partner certification with Dext, previously Receipt Bank, the award­-winning Xero add-­on that automatically converts all your invoices and receipts into data.

Dext scans, analyses and stores your important financial information on-the-go from your mobile, laptop or email inbox. Once you have uploaded your important data including bills, receipts, invoices and bank statements, your information will be connected to your accounting software via their seamless integration removing the need to manually copy any data across yourself.

Scott Kennedy, EQ Accounting Manager based in our Forfar office, commented;

“We are always looking at ways to improve our service and deliver value to clients and since lockdown, we have focused on how to improve our interaction with clients. Dext allows us to access and process client information from any location, meaning that we can keep client records up to date, quickly and efficiently, even when we are not in the office.

“We have also found that clients have benefitted from being able to electronically send us invoices on receipt. Submitting invoices for processing can be as simple as taking a photograph on a phone, meaning paperwork can be delivered in an instant. The client is also able to keep the original paperwork for reference, should they wish to.

“Engaging with Dext has allowed us to process our client records in a more timely manner because information can be dealt with as soon as it is uploaded and has removed any postal delay issue.”
