The Dundee based UK Games Fund has recently received a welcome boost to its coffers through the Creative Industries Sector Deal.

After an initial £1 million was awarded in the November budget, which will allow it to continue until 2020, a further £500,000 has been provided to support new businesses during 2018-19.

Paul Durrant, who heads up the fund, said “Our projects serve young games studios the length and breadth of the UK. We’re leading the way with our community-based approach”.

Its Tranzfuser talent programme is now considered a best practice model for the support of young creative teams from UK universities.
