At last week’s AGM, Peter Southcott, partner in EQ’s Glenrothes office was appointed as new President of Fife Cheq of Commerce for a term of 2 years. Peter has been involved with the Fife Cheq of Commerce for a number of years, including latterly as vice president. Peter’s ambition is to help the Cheq become the only business organisation that businesses need to be a member of by:

  • Giving them a voice to the politicians in the Scottish or UK Parliament
  • Continuing to work hard to make sure employers have employees with the right skill sets via Developing the Young Workforce Initiatives
  • Helping members grow their business via links to Cheqs in Scotland, UK and worldwide

Commenting on the appointment, David Cameron, EQ’s managing partner said “Peter’s appointment as President demonstrates EQ’s commitment to helping the business community in Scotland expand and grow and I wish Peter and Fife Cheq of Commerce every success over the next 2 years.”
