How we are dealing with COVID-19 at EQ

Category: COVID-19EQ News - Posted On: Mar 17 2020

The ever-evolving situation with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is causing significant disruption around the world and although the UK has not been significantly affected, we fully expect this to change.

At EQ, our people are at the heart of what we do and due to the nature of our business, we are unlikely to be immune from such affects. Throughout the ever-changing landscape we are facing, we will aim to maintain our high level of service to each of our clients and deliver to deadlines we have previously agreed with you. However, due to the unprecedented nature of this pandemic, our service standards may be affected if the extent of the pandemic develops at a rapid rate.

We wanted to assure you that we intend to manage any consequences for our clients and our people and have already put measures in place to minimise affects.

  • As a firm with four offices, we have chosen not to close our doors but to restrict movements of our people as a precaution.
  • We have asked our people to avoid face-to-face meetings wherever possible, instead using video conferencing, phone calls or other online meeting facilities to ensure communication continues in the safest possible way.
  • We are discouraging visitors to our offices, to minimise risk to both you and our people and we will be in touch separately to arrange another form of meeting, as appropriate.
  • We would encourage the use of our secure online portals and emails to share any documentation whenever possible in communications with us.
  • Should it be required, we have remote working capability which will allow us to maintain our services to you.

Please be assured if we are affected severely, we will consider our resources are used to their best advantage and will make every effort to mitigate the impact for our clients in this situation. However, it may not always be possible for us to communicate with you about such matters as timeously as we and you would otherwise expect. We would ask for your understanding if that is the case.

We are seeking to take all reasonable measures in line with ongoing Government guidance as our peoples’ safety and health is paramount. It is important that we take these proactive steps to minimise the spread of COVID-19. We will continue to monitor the situation and adapt accordingly in order to provide the excellent service that our clients expect. We hope you understand the reasons for any temporary changes to how we deliver our services and that they will not affect you too much. Thank you for your flexibility and understanding during this time.

Should you have any questions, we encourage you to continue to speak to your usual EQ contact or team.
