Supporting our charity of the year, SAMH, with our EQ Virtual Office Walk Category: CharitiesEQ NewsPeople - Posted On: Aug 17 2020 With many of us feeling worried or stressed about how coronavirus has affected our lives, as well as our loved ones, it’s never been more important to look after your mental health and wellbeing. SAMH relies on the generosity of supporters to continuing operating over 60 of their services in communities across Scotland and we want to play our part to help them, raising vital funds through various fundraising challenges. On Sunday 16 August, members of our team took part in our EQ Virtual Office Walk, where they walked the equivalent distance between our offices to help us raise some much needed funds, and have some fun doing it! The three walking options were: Our Cupar office to our Forfar office (26.5 miles) Our Cupar office to our Glenrothes office (13.8 miles) Walking the equivalent square footage of our recently expanded Dundee office (2.8 miles) A massive thank you to our colleagues who volunteered to take part and spent their Sunday walking in aid of SAMH! We would also like to thank those who have donated and supported our fantastic participants, so far we’ve raised over £1800 which is an amazing amount, especially given the current circumstances. If you haven’t donated but would like to, you can visit our page and add to our total here. As these difficult times continue, it’s important to look after your mental health. If you would like more information or guidance, visit the SAMH website. All News View the latest news stories from all of our sectors.
