The Scottish Wedding Industry Fund

Category: COVID-19 - Posted On: Jan 26 2021

To support the wedding sector and its supply chain, the Scottish Government has announced a further £10 million has been added to the £15 million announced in December.

The Scottish Wedding Industry Fund will provide one-off grants of between £5,000 and £25,000 for eligible businesses in the sector impacted by the pandemic. The grants offered will be based on pre-COVID-19 turnover and will be provided in funding tiers, managed regionally by Scotland’s three enterprise agencies – South of Scotland Enterprise, Scottish Enterprise and Highlands and Islands Enterprise.

To be eligible for the grant, businesses must be from one of the sectors mentioned in the criteria process who provide one or more services to the wedding industry, such as wedding venues, photographers, caterers and suppliers.

Applications will open from Thursday 28 January 2021 and will run until the fund is fully allocated. Applications will be assessed in the order they are received so we would recommend you have everything needed to apply as soon as the fund opens.

For example, you will need to provide the following evidence:

  • A bank statement from the last three months
  • A bank statement showing they were trading before 31 December 2019
  • Evidence of pre-COVID turnover.
