Category: Agriculture - Posted On: Dec 18 2019

We are delighted to confirm that the seventeenth annual Farming Scotland Conference will take place at Carnoustie Golf Hotel, Angus, on Thursday, 13 February 2020.

The half day conference is once again sponsored and organised by EQ Chartered Accountants, Bell Ingram, the Royal Bank of Scotland and Thorntons Solicitors, and aims to bring together individuals from throughout Scottish agriculture to discuss and debate key issues facing the sector. This years theme is ‘People. Product. Knowledge‘, with our speakers all playing key roles in the agriculture sector, including;

  • Marion MacCormick – a member of the National Council of Rural Advisors and the Farming and Food Production Policy Group. As a former Buying Director for Aldi, she is a well respected food sector consultant and is currently working on the Scottish Government’s Farming and Food Production policy group.
  • Kate Rowell – a member of Quality Meat Scotland since 2018, and has been the Chair since 2018. As well as being a qualified vet and farmer, she also found time to complete the Scottish Enterprise Rural Leaders programme in 2016.
  • James Peck – Managing Director of PX Farms, a large innovative agribusiness in Cambridgeshire.
  • Simon Haley – Managing Director of SRH Agribusiness, a rural consultancy business with a keen interest in agriculture. As part of his business, and to extend the use of social media to benefit farmers, Simon is the founder of the @FarmersOfTheUK@EatFarmNow and @AgriChatUK twitter accounts.
